Following his 1972 undergraduate degree from Arizona State University, Mr. Alden graduated magna cum laude from Arizona State University College of Law in 1975. He was licensed as an attorney in Arizona that same year and also admitted to the U.S. District Court in 1975. In 1988 he was admitted to the U.S. Court of Appeals, 9th Circuit.

From 1975 to 2003 Mr. Alden was associated with the firm of Teilborg, Sanders and Parks, P.C. becoming a shareholder in 1981; in 2004 he joined Bowman and Brooke LLP where he was an equity partner. In 2007 he reunited with former Teilborg, Sanders and Parks colleagues at the firm of Jardine, Baker, Hickman and Houston.

Neil Alden focuses his practice on professional malpractice defense with an emphasis on defending physicians in medical malpractice claims. Neil has been a first-chair trial lawyer for over 25 years. He has tried cases involving motor vehicle accidents, construction accidents, mining accidents and products liability, in addition to medical negligence cases that are the exclusive focus of his current practice. He has successfully defended physicians of multiple specialties, hospitals and nursing homes.

He was certified as a specialist in Personal Injury and Wrongful Death, by the State Board of Arizona in 1995. He was inducted as an Advocate Member of the American Board of Trial Advocates in 2002 and a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers in the same year. In 2004, Neil was named Best of the Bar by The Phoenix Business Journal in the area of health care law, and selected by Super Lawyers Magazine as a SuperLawyer® in 2007. He was listed in The Best Lawyer in America in 2009.

Mr. Alden is a member of the State Bar of Arizona-Litigation Section, the Arizona Association of Defense Counsel-Litigation Section, the Federal District Bar of Arizona, the American Board of Trial Advocates, and a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers.
