Mr. Fitch completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan in 1981, and received his Juris Doctor from Arizona State University College of Law in 1985. He began his professional career as an associate with Beer & Toone, P.C., where he emphasized a generalized defense litigation practice. In 1987, Mr. Fitch joined the firm of Oplinger & Gamble, P.C., and thereafter remained with them through several mergers until 1991. Throughout this period Mr. Fitch’s focus remained on developing a generalized defense litigation practice.
In June 1991, Mr. Fitch joined the Staff Counsel program at Fireman’s Fund Insurance, where he acted as Lead Attorney and Trial Counsel for the Phoenix office. Licensed in Arizona and Colorado and an active member of both the Arizona and Colorado Bar Associations, he joined Jardine, Baker, Hickman and Houston, P.L.L.C. in December 2002, becoming a member of the firm in early 2004.
A civil trial lawyer, Mr. Fitch’s practice continues to emphasize generalized litigation practice, with special focus on defending matters ranging from products liability, construction defect, medical malpractice, catastrophic injury to premises liability matters. He has tried in excess of twenty cases to verdict, and has successfully defended those verdicts that have also been subjected to appeal.
